Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2, 2026

1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form an agreement between you and ListenTogether. ListenTogether is operated by a French individual entrepreneur, referred to in these Terms as "ListenTogether", "we", "us", or "our".

By accessing or using the website, browser extension, Android app, accounts, rooms, or related services (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The ListenTogether service

ListenTogether helps people coordinate and synchronize playback in shared rooms while using YouTube Music. Depending on the client and permissions you choose, the Service may also provide remote-control, queue-management, library, like, and playlist features.

ListenTogether does not provide music, audiovisual content, or access to YouTube Music. Each participant is responsible for their own device, internet connection, Google or YouTube account, and any subscription or permission required by YouTube Music.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If the law where you live requires a higher age or permission from a parent or guardian, that requirement also applies. You must be an adult, or have an adult's authorization, to purchase Plus.

When you create an account, you must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in method secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

4. Free and Plus plans

The Free plan lets you use the core collaborative listening features subject to the limits shown in the Service. We may adjust Free plan features or limits as the Service evolves.

The paid Plus subscription currently gives an eligible host higher room and queue limits for the whole room. It also gives the subscriber access to eligible account-linked mobile features, such as liking tracks or adding tracks to their own YouTube Music playlists. Account-linked benefits belong to the subscriber and are not transferred to every participant.

The pricing page and checkout show the current plan features, limits, billing periods, and prices. If they conflict with a general description in these Terms, the specific information shown at checkout for your order controls.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal

Plus is offered only as a monthly or yearly paid subscription. Before you place an order, checkout shows the billing period, renewal price, currency, and applicable taxes. Your subscription begins after payment is accepted and ListenTogether receives confirmation from the payment provider.

Your Plus subscription automatically renews for the same billing period until you cancel it. By subscribing, you authorize the merchant of record to charge the payment method on file at each renewal at the price disclosed to you, unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for Plus purchases. It processes payments, calculates and collects applicable taxes, issues receipts, and handles payment-related matters such as refunds and chargebacks. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's buyer terms. Read Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms .

The final amount displayed at checkout is the amount due for that order. Prices shown elsewhere may exclude taxes that depend on your location. We do not collect or store your full payment-card details.

6. Cancellation, refunds, and withdrawal rights

You may cancel Plus at any time through your ListenTogether account dashboard and the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewals and normally leaves Plus active until the end of the period you already paid for.

If a payment fails, is reversed, refunded, disputed, or remains unpaid, Plus access may be restricted or removed. A temporary payment-recovery period does not guarantee continued access.

ListenTogether offers a commercial 14-day money-back guarantee. You may request a refund of a Plus payment within 14 days after it was charged by using the support link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt or by contacting us. Refunds are returned through the original payment method and may take additional processing time.

The money-back guarantee is additional to your legal rights. Where applicable, you may also have a statutory right of withdrawal and rights relating to conformity, refunds, or defective digital services. Nothing in these Terms asks you to waive those rights, and any amount owed for service supplied before a withdrawal will be determined only as permitted by applicable law.

7. Changes to plans, prices, and features

We may improve, add, remove, or change Service features and Free plan limits. We may also change Plus features or prices prospectively. For a material change affecting an active paid subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required and explain when the change takes effect.

A new subscription price will not be charged before it is disclosed to you. If you do not accept a change that applies at renewal, you may cancel before that renewal. Nothing in this section limits a remedy required by law when a paid digital service does not conform to the contract.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • break the law or violate another person's rights;
  • disrupt rooms, overload infrastructure, distribute malware, or interfere with another user's access;
  • use bots, scraping, or automated requests that are not expressly authorized by us;
  • probe, bypass, or defeat security, access controls, plan limits, or payment requirements;
  • impersonate another person, misrepresent your affiliation, or access an account without permission; or
  • reverse engineer or modify proprietary parts of the Service except where applicable law expressly allows it.
9. Intellectual property and room activity

ListenTogether and its original software, branding, visual design, and content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the Service as intended. They do not transfer ownership of ListenTogether or third-party content to you.

You retain any rights you have in nicknames, queue entries, and other information you choose to submit. You give us a limited permission to process and relay that information only as needed to operate the Service and the room you joined. You must have the right to submit it.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it, how long we retain it, and the choices and rights available to you. Read the Privacy Policy.

11. Third-party services and no affiliation

The Service depends on third-party products and infrastructure, including Google, YouTube Music, and Lemon Squeezy. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms, policies, availability, technical restrictions, and account requirements. We are not responsible for third-party content or for changes outside our reasonable control.

ListenTogether is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or YouTube. YouTube Music and related marks belong to their respective owners. Changes to YouTube Music may temporarily or permanently affect ListenTogether compatibility.

By using ListenTogether, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through the available account controls. Cancelling a subscription and deleting an account are separate actions; cancel Plus before deleting your account if you want to stop future renewals.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, respond to legal requirements, prevent fraud or abuse, address non-payment, or enforce these Terms. Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Termination does not remove rights or payment obligations that already arose.

13. Availability, warranties, and liability

We aim to keep ListenTogether useful and available, but synchronization depends on networks, devices, browsers, YouTube Music, and other systems we do not fully control. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, perfect synchronization, permanent compatibility, or a specific service-level commitment. The Service is provided with the warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable law and otherwise on an "as available" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for unforeseeable or indirect loss, loss caused solely by third-party services or events outside our reasonable control, or business loss resulting from consumer use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or mandatory consumer rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, subscriptions, providers, or law. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice where required, such as through the Service or by email to account holders.

Changes apply from the stated effective date and do not retroactively reduce rights you already acquired. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance only where permitted by law. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel Plus before the change takes effect.

15. Consumer rights and disputes

These Terms do not deprive consumers of mandatory consumer rights or protections provided by the law of their country of residence. Any choice-of-law rule that may otherwise apply is subject to those protections.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. You may also use any competent court or alternative dispute-resolution mechanism available to you under applicable law. These Terms do not require a consumer to bring a claim exclusively in a foreign court.
